Scope of this policy
This policy applies to fees paid online for MCAIT 2026 registration and related conference services. Registration constitutes a service, and no physical goods are supplied. Product return or exchange provisions therefore do not apply.
Cancellation within seven days
Subject to the exceptions established by applicable law, a registrant may cancel within seven calendar days from the date of contracting, provided the service has not been used and no benefit has been obtained from it. Any costs arising from the cancellation will be handled in accordance with applicable Saudi law.
Other eligible refunds
A refund may also be approved in the following circumstances:
- A duplicate payment or an incorrect charge confirmed through the registration system.
- Cancellation of the conference by the Organizing Committee.
- A delay or postponement that establishes a right to cancellation under applicable Saudi law.
- Any other circumstance in which a refund is required by applicable law.
Requests after the cancellation period
Unless a mandatory legal right applies, requests submitted after the seven-day cancellation period are not eligible for a refund when based on a change of mind, non-attendance, travel or visa issues, schedule conflicts, or paper withdrawal. The Organizing Committee may approve an exception in writing where circumstances warrant.
Submit a refund request
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Conference Secretariat at MCAIT@taibahu.edu.sa. Each request must include the following information:
- The registrant's full name.
- The email address used for registration.
- The relevant invoice or payment reference.
- The reason for requesting a refund.
Card numbers, security codes, passwords, and banking credentials must not be included in the request.
Refund processing
An approved refund will be issued to the original payment method and will be based on the amount received in Saudi Riyals. Processing times are determined by the payment provider, card issuer, and receiving bank. Currency conversion differences and fees charged by third parties remain outside the control of the Organizing Committee.
Applicable law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and does not limit any mandatory consumer right. If any provision conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the legal requirement will prevail. The official Saudi E-Commerce Law provides the applicable statutory framework.
